Kuala Lumpur, 27 May 2024 – Prince Court Medical Centre reaffirmed its position as a leader in orthopaedic care with the launch of a brand-new Orthopaedic Clinic of Excellence today. The orthopaedic clinic was inaugurated by IHH Healthcare Malaysia Chief Executive Officer Jean-François Naa, Prince Court Medical Centre Chief Executive Officer Dr. Shuba Srinivasan, and Malaysia’s rising squash star Sivasangari Subramaniam.

The launch event of the Prince Court Orthopaedic Clinic of Excellence had in attendance a range of distinguished guests including ambassadors, business partners and Prince Court consultants. A Milestone in Healthcare Innovation

Dr. Shuba emphasised the importance of innovation and setting new benchmarks for healthcare excellence. “At Prince Court, we don't merely see ourselves as healthcare providers; we see ourselves as healthcare innovators constantly striving to enhance and achieve superior outcomes for our patients, with true value. And, we are committed to building lasting partnerships across the healthcare ecosystem, prioritising the well-being of our patients and the community.”

Inspiring Resilience and Excellence

Squash star Sivasangari’s presence at the launch underscored the clinic’s commitment to excellence and resilience. Having triumphed over a life-threatening car crash to win two gold medals at the 2022 Asian Games and the recent London Classic title, her journey embodies the perseverance and excellence that Prince Court strives to inspire in its patients.

“It is important to receive prompt medical treatment and rehabilitation. As an athlete, I am fully aware of this, and I’m delighted to be part of the Prince Court Orthopaedic Clinic of Excellence launch. This raises awareness that anyone struggling with sports injuries has a dedicated place to go to for treatment,” said Sivasangari.

“Sivasangari’s presence here today is particularly meaningful,” said Dr. Shuba. “We are honoured to be joined by a remarkable Malaysian athlete, who survived and overcame a dangerous accident. Her story is a testament to the kind of resilience and recovery we aim to provide at our Orthopaedic Clinic of Excellence.”
