Guide to Prince Court

Our mission is to make your stay comfortable and pleasant by providing professional and friendly in-house service. When you step into Prince Court, we want you to feel at home, away from home.

Feeling better starts with a warm welcome.

The admission counter is open daily from 7.00am to 9.00pm and is located at the reception area at the Main Atrium on Level 1.

Outside of these hours, you may use the admissions counter at the 24-hour Emergency Department, located at Level 1 of the South Wing.

For registration, please bring along the following documentation:

  • Your admission letter from your consultant
  • NRIC, or passport if you are not a Malaysian citizen
  • If you are registering your child, his/her birth certificate, or MyKid if under 12 years
  • Your guarantee letter or insurance card, if applicable

You will just need to bring some comfortable attire, your existing medication if any, as well as your preferred reading materials.

For your comfort and convenience, we provide hairdryers, bath robes and slippers and all of our rooms are equipped with satellite television and free Wi-Fi access.

You are strongly advised NOT to bring jewellery, excessive cash or electrical appliances such as electric kettle / cooker / fans.

Visitor’s Policy

  • Inpatient Ward

Visiting Hours: 10AM-10PM.

Paediatrics Ward Visiting Hours:  10AM-8PM for 6A, 6B, 6C and 6D.

We recommend that children under 12 years old avoid visiting the Inpatient Wards, but we understand that parents may choose to bring their children at their own discretion and responsibility.

 

  • ICU / HDU I Burns Unit

Visiting Hours: 12PM-2PM and 6PM-8PM.

We kindly request that children under 12 years old refrain from entering the Critical Care Unit, except in special circumstances such as compassionate grounds, critical illness, or DNR situations.

Additionally, we ask all visitors to kindly observe the guidelines set by the Malaysia Ministry of Health.

 

Food & Beverage

Just as we provide the best care during your stay at Prince Court, our food is thoughtfully prepared to enhance your dining experience and recovery.

Our award-winning chefs are here to serve you food, equivalent to the standards of a 5-star hotel. Your stay with us includes breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner.

If you have specific dietary needs, please inform our admissions team upon check-in. Our in-house dietician will also be on hand to offer dietary advice and we also offer À la carte room service for you and your guests.

All food served at Prince Court is certified Halal.

    Reminders

    • For the comfort and safety of our patients, guests and staff, Prince Court has been designated as a non-smoking facility.
    • Food and consumables with strong aromas, such as durians, are not allowed in the medical centre.
    • Please do not leave children alone or unattended at any time.
    • Upon checking out, please ensure that you have not left any personal belongings behind.

    The Intensive Care Unit requires that the following precautions be taken:

    • Children are discouraged from entering the intensive care units. Please check with your nurse whether visiting can be allowed.
    • Visiting privileges may be temporarily suspended depending on the patient's condition.
    • Flowers are not allowed in the intensive care units.
    • Patients are only allowed two visitors at any one time.
    • Visitors with any recent illnesses/vaccinations are to consult the nurse before entering the unit.

     

    Customer Services

    Concierge & Valet Service

    Our Concierge desk is located at the main entrance where our friendly staff are happy to arrange for any travel or transportation requests, including making hotel reservations for your family and visitors. With firsthand knowledge of the city, our Concierge will answer any questions you might have about the beautiful city of Kuala Lumpur as well as Malaysia.

    Customer Relations Officers

    Upon entering Prince Court, customers are welcomed by our friendly Customer Relations Officers. They assist our guests with queries and help them to find their way to the right departments. Our officers visit our in-patients to ensure that they are comfortably settled in and that they have all that they need. They can also arrange for interpretation services upon request.

    Contact Centre

    Prince Court´s Contact Centre operates 24 hours, attending to all telephone enquiries and assisting patients to schedule appointments. If you require any assistance, just dial 0 from your room telephone.

    Muslim Prayer Room

    Our surau (prayer room) is located at level 3 and can accommodate up to 80 people, complete with a dedicated space for the convenience of our female patients.

    Discharge

    Please be informed that check out time is 12:00 noon. For discharge after 12:00 noon, an additional ½ day room fee will be charged, subject to the availability of the room.

    Be advised that the FULL bill must be settled before being discharged, even if payment is not guaranteed by your company or any prior arrangements have not been made.

    Your nurse can confirm with the Billing Office when you are expected to leave the hospital. You may vacate your room in the meantime to avoid any unnecessary charges. However, if you prefer not to wait, other payment arrangements can be made.

    For insured patients, you have the option to pay a deposit if you wish to leave the hospital before the final guaranteed letter is issued by your appointed insurer / TPA.

    Financial Arrangements

    Upon confirmation of admission for treatment and/or surgery, please verify the estimated cost of the hospitalisation with the attending doctor. Cash, bank draft and major credit cards are accepted. We regret to inform you that we do NOT accept personal cheques.

    Deposit Collection

    A deposit is required for all Inpatient, Outpatient Specialist and Emergency services. The amount will vary depending on the type of service required and the agreed financial arrangement for the said visit / admission. Our Patient Service Assistants will be happy to provide you with the details upon registration / admission.

    Pricing & Estimates

    For your convenience, we provide price estimates for the commonly requested diagnostic tests and services including surgical procedures performed at Prince Court Medical Centre. While we make every effort to ensure the accuracy of our price estimates, the costs associated with diagnostic testing and surgical procedures may vary, depending on the medical needs and circumstances of the individual.

    Since we cannot anticipate all the charges associated with a course of treatment, the exact total costs of a procedure cannot be determined in advance. As a result, the final invoice may differ from the estimate provided. Prince Court Medical Centre makes no guarantees regarding the accuracy of the price estimation information provided through this service, and shall not be held liable for any inaccuracies.

    Our experienced Financial Counsellors are equipped with clinical knowledge and will contact you via telephone at least one day before the date of your admission to provide counsel on everything that you need to know about your admission and confirmation on the financial arrangement.
