Guide to PCMC

Allow us to make your stay comfortable and pleasant. Our admissions team is always on hand to help you complete the registration process as quickly as possible. The admission counter is in our reception area at the Main Atrium on Level 1.

Feeling better starts with a warm welcome.

The admission counter is open daily from 7.00am to 9.00pm. Outside of these hours, you may use the admissions counter at the Emergency Department, on Level 1 of the South Wing. The Emergency Department is open 24 hours a day.

For registration, please bring along the following documentation:

  • Your admission letter from your consultant
  • NRIC, or passport if you are not a Malaysian citizen
  • If you are registering your child, his/her birth certificate, or MyKid if under 12 years
  • Your guarantee letter or insurance card, if applicable

You will just need to bring some comfortable attire, your existing medication if any, as well as your preferred reading materials.

For your comfort and convenience, we provide hairdryers, bath robes and slippers and all of our rooms are equipped with satellite television and free Wi-Fi access.

You are strongly advised NOT to bring jewellery, excessive cash or electrical appliances such as electric kettle /cooker / fans. A safe is provided in your room for your convenience, although the hospital will not be liable for any loss or damage to your valuables.

Visitor’s Policy

  • Inpatient Ward

Visiting Hours: 10AM-10PM.

Children below 12 years old are discouraged to visit the Inpatient Wards. However, it is at parents’ own risks if they bring their children to visit.

  • ICU / HDU I Burns Unit

Visiting Hours: 12PM-2PM and 6PM-8PM.

No children below 12 years old is allowed in Critical Care Unit, unless special permission i.e. compassionate ground, critically ill, DNR.

All Visitors must adhere with the Malaysia Ministry of Health guidelines to wear mask at all times within the Hospital premise.

Food & Beverage

Forget everything you’ve heard about hospital food, and let our award-winning chefs serve you cuisine that wouldn’t be out of place in a 5-star hotel. Your stay with us includes breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner. If you have specific dietary needs, please inform our admissions team upon check-in. Our in-house dietician will also be on hand to offer dietary advice. We also offer a la carte room service for you and your guests. All food served is Halal.

  • For the comfort and safety of our patients, guests and staff, Prince Court has been designated as a non-smoking facility.
  • Food and consumables with strong aroma, such as durians, are not allowed in the hospital.
  • Please do not leave children alone or unattended at any time.
  • Upon checking out, please ensure that you have not left any personal belongings behind.

The Intensive Care Unit requires that the following precautions be taken:

  • Children are discouraged from entering the intensive care units. Please check with your nurse whether visiting can be allowed.
  • Visiting privileges may be temporarily suspended depending on the patient’s condition.
  • Flowers are not allowed in the intensive care units.
  • Patients are only allowed two visitors at any one time.
  • Visitors with any recent illnesses/vaccinations are to consult the nurse before entering the unit.

Customer Services

Concierge & Valet Service

Our Concierge desk is located at our main entrance. Our staff will be happy to arrange for any travel or transportation requests, including making hotel reservations for your family and visitors. With firsthand knowledge of the city, our Concierge will also address any queries pertaining to Kuala Lumpur or Malaysia.

Customer Relations Officers

Upon entering Prince Court, customers are welcomed by our friendly Customer Relations Officers. They assist our guests with queries and also help them to find their way to the right departments. Our officers visit our inpatients to ensure that they are comfortably settled in and that they have all that they need. They can also arrange for interpretation services upon request.

Contact Centre

Prince Court´s Contact Centre operates 24 hours and in addition to attending to all telephone enquiries, they also assist patients in scheduling their appointments. Should you require any assistance, just dial 0 from your room telephone.

Muslim Prayer Room

Our Muslim prayer rooms are located at our North Atrium, on Level 1.

Quiet Room

An inter-faith room for quiet reflection and meditation is located at B1, Radiotherapy.

Pastoral Care

A hospital stay or visit can be an anxious experience for our customers and their families. We understand and respect their need for spiritual support and guidance during what may be difficult times. Upon request, we will endeavour to connect our patients with religious representatives of their faiths or denominations.


Please be informed that check out time is 12:00 noon. For discharge after 12:00 noon, an additional ½ day room fee will be charged subject to the availability of the room.

Please be advised that the FULL bill must be settled before you are to be discharged, even if payment is not guaranteed by your company or any prior arrangements have not been made.

Your nurse can confirm with the Billing Office when you are expected to leave the hospital. You may vacate your room in the meantime to avoid any unnecessary charges. However, if you prefer not to wait, other payment arrangements can be made.

For insured patients, you have the option to pay a deposit if you wish to leave the hospital before final guarantee letter is issued by your appointed insurer / TPA.

Financial Arrangements

Upon confirmation of admission for treatment and/or surgery, please verify the estimated cost of the hospitalisation with the attending doctor. Cash, bank draft and major credit cards are accepted. We regret to inform you that we do NOT accept personal cheques.

Deposit Collection

A deposit is required for all Inpatient, Outpatient Specialist and Emergency services. The amount will vary depending on the type of service required and the agreed financial arrangement for the said visit / admission. Our Patient Service Assistants will be happy to provide you with the details upon registration / admission.

Pricing & Estimates

For your convenience, we provide price estimates for many of the most commonly requested diagnostic tests and services including surgical procedures performed at Prince Court Medical Centre. While we make every effort to ensure the accuracy of our price estimates, the costs associated with diagnostic testing and surgical procedures vary, depending on the medical needs and circumstances of the individual.

Since we can’t anticipate all the charges associated with a course of treatment, we can’t determine the exact total costs of a procedure in advance. As a result, the final invoice may differ from the estimate provided. Prince Court Medical Centre makes no guarantees regarding the accuracy of the price estimation information provided through this service provided and shall not be held liable for any inaccuracies.

We understand that healthcare can be complex and navigating costs, procedures and systems is a daunting task. Our Financial Counsellors who are experienced staff equipped with clinical knowledge shall touch base with you via telephone at least one day before the date of your admission to counsel you regarding all that you need to know about your admission and confirm on the financial arrangement. Our Financial Counsellor are also contactable via the General Line.

Respect And Discrimination
You shall be given medical treatment regardless of religion, race, culture, gender, sexual orientation, nationality, or source of payment.

Your medical care consultation, examination and treatment plan will be kept private and confidential and only be discussed with your nominated family members.

Freedom Of Choice
Your diagnosis, treatment, results and other relevant information will be explained to you in facilitating treatment decision and care process.

Informed Consent
You must provide written consent prior to any invasive or surgical procedure, retrieval of medical report, photography or video recording.

Confidentiality Of Medical Records
Access to medical records if protected and strictly limited to healthcare professionals involved in your care.

Safe Environment
You will be medically screened prior to your admission and tagged with an identification band on your wrist. The hospital is fully monitored by CCTV, equipped with safety and security access doors and strictly abides by emergency policies and procedures.

Well Informed
You shall be informed of personnel involved in your care process, medical plans during and post treatment, the right to seek second opinion and refusal of treatment, medication plans, interim and summary billing statements.

End Of Life Care
You will be given respectful and compassionate care at the end of life. Terminally ill patients will be referred to palliative care services.

Freedom To Decline Treatment
You have the right to decline or discontinue treatment, seek second opinion and discharge against medical advice.

Research Involvement
No clinical trials involving patients are practised in this hospital and you have the right to decline if at all approved.

Foreign Language & Spiritual Services
Muslim praying rooms, foreign language interpreter services and spiritual beliefs or religious services contacts are available at this hospital.

Grievances, Comments Or Compliments
You have the right to express grievances, comments or compliments via our survey form, e-mail to [email protected] or seek assistance at the Customer Service Counter.

Withhold Resuscitation
You have the right to make advance resuscitation decisions subject to hospital policies, professional standards and the applicable laws.

Medical history, symptoms, treatments, medicines and other illness must be informed to the hospital.

Follow Rules & Regulations
You shall utilise all equipment and facilities carefully and abide by all safety and security precautions including the ‘No Smoking or Vaping Policy’ and ‘Zero Tolerance Policy’ against abuse, violence and sexual assault.

Make Decisions
Upon making your informed decisions on the treatment determined by the medical practitioner, you shall accept all the consequences of the said decision and may exclude family members from participating in the decision making process.

Leave Valuables At Home
This hospital will not assume responsibility for any loss of personal item. However, a safe box is provided in the wards for your use.

Meet Financial Obligations
You must ensure that bills are paid or topped as advised or fully paid upon discharge.

Respect Others
You should treat hospital staff, other patients and visitors with courtesy and respect. This includes ensuring the noise to be kept at a minimum for the comfort of others.

Keep Your Appointments
You shall keep your appointments and inform the hospital if you are unable to come on time or require us to cancel or reschedule appointments.
