Breathe Better, Living Better
Respiratory health is crucial for optimal functioning of the respiratory system, which includes the lungs, airways, and associated organs. Disorders affecting these vital components can significantly impact an individual's breathing, overall health, and quality of life. From chronic respiratory conditions such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) to respiratory infections and other pulmonary disorders, timely and accurate diagnosis is essential for effective treatment and management.
Cutting-Edge Pulmonary Function Testing at Prince Court’s Respiratory Lab
At Prince Court, our Respiratory Lab is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and staffed by skilled professionals who specialize in pulmonary function testing. We offer a wide range of services designed to evaluate lung function, assess respiratory capacity, and detect any abnormalities. With a focus on precision and accuracy, we aim to provide valuable insights into your respiratory health.
Our range of Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs) is carefully designed to address various aspects of lung function and provide a detailed assessment of your respiratory system. These tests serve as powerful diagnostic tools, offering crucial information about lung volume, airflow dynamics, gas exchange efficiency, and overall respiratory performance. By detecting any abnormalities or underlying conditions, we can help you gain a deeper understanding of your respiratory health.
- Spirometry: This pulmonary function test measures an individual's inhalation and exhalation volumes, focusing on important aspects such as Forced Vital Capacity (FVC) and Forced Expiratory Volume (FEV). It provides valuable information about lung function.
- Peak Expiratory Flow (PEF): Also known as Peak Expiratory Flow Rate (PEFR), this test measures the maximum speed of exhalation, helping assess airway obstruction and monitor respiratory health.
- Full Respiratory Function Test: This comprehensive pulmonary function test measures lung volume, capacity, rates of flow, and gas exchange. It provides essential data for diagnosing and determining the treatment of various lung disorders.
- Plethysmograph (Body Box): Plethysmography is a pulmonary function test that assesses air trapping and measures lung volume and residual air. It utilises advanced Body Box equipment to provide accurate measurements.
Diffusion Lung Carbon Monoxide: This test evaluates the lungs' ability to transfer oxygen from inhaled air to red blood cells in pulmonary capillaries, aiding in the assessment of lung function.
Six-Minute Walking Test (6MWT): This submaximal exercise test measures the distance walked by a patient in six minutes. It assesses the functional capacity of the pulmonary and cardiovascular systems, blood circulation, neuromuscular units, body metabolism, and peripheral circulation. It is commonly used for paediatric and geriatric patients.
Fractional Exhale Nitric Oxide (FENO): FENO testing measures the concentration of nitric oxide in a patient's breath. Increased levels of nitric oxide often indicate inflammation, particularly during asthma attacks. FENO testing is useful in asthma assessment and management.
We prioritise your respiratory health and strive to deliver the highest standard of testing services, ensuring that you receive the insights needed to make informed decisions about your well-being.
