A Life-Changing Experience at Prince Court Medical Centre
Travelling from Canada to Kuala Lumpur, Josh Loh was in search of quick, affordable, and reliable healthcare, especially after experiencing long waiting times back home.
His search led him to Prince Court Medical Centre and Dr. Kenneth Kok, Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, who exceeded all his expectations.
“As a Canadian, I’m used to free healthcare, which is great,” Josh shared. “But the trade-off is that even if you have an urgent medical issue, it can take six to nine months to see a specialist. When I discovered Prince Court Medical Centre, I realised just how different healthcare could be.”
A week before his visit, he searched online and found Dr. Kenneth Kok. “I read about him and saw that he worked at one of the most prestigious hospitals in Kuala Lumpur. It is known to have medical tourists fly in from all over the world and it is super affordable.
“They offer medical screenings for just US$300 or so, covering everything from blood tests to cancer biomarkers, body fat percentage, and more, all done within a single day. It’s phenomenal.”
What amazed him the most was the speed and efficiency of the entire process. “I didn’t have insurance, but I was able to book an appointment just a week prior. On the day of the appointment, I walked in, registered with my passport and within three hours, I had consulted with Dr. Kenneth, scheduled my surgery, and had my cyst removed. I even got stitched up and left with medication and a hot meal, all in the same day!”
The affordability and quality of care left a lasting impression on Josh. “As a foreigner coming to Malaysia, you would think that I need to pay an arm and a leg to get this treatment but Prince Court is incredibly cheap compared to any hospital in the West.
“You’re not just saving money; you’re saving time and months of waiting to see a specialist. And the staff? They’re amazing. Everyone at Prince Court seemed genuinely happy to work there and it showed in the level of care they provided.”
